2019 Wedding Trends for Brides in Hertfordshire

As 2018 draws to a close and the Winter rush of engagements begins, it’s time for all 2019 Brides-to-be to think about the finishing touches for their special day. We’ve compiled a list of the latest wedding trends to help you plan those final details!

Bring the Outdoors In

Whether you go for a wedding arch or a flower wall, make an impact with flowers and bring the outdoors in with an organic backdrop. Flowers will feature more foliage, giving off romantic woodland vibes and can be customised to match your theme.  A natural backdrop will make a big impact as well as providing a gorgeous photo spot for guests!

A trend that’s been on the rise, hand-lettered signs, invitations and table plans are definitely in! Giving a rustic and homely feel, they’ll also add consistency to your event. Expect to see more unique features, such as acrylic boards, wax seals and colour blocking. Your save the dates and invitations are the first hint as to what your big day will be like, so make them count!

Ideal for the more creative couple, use a neon sign to impress your guests and make a bold statement. Contrast against traditional florals or rustic elements to really make your sign stand out!

Wedding Cake Alternatives

Gone are the days of boring old fruitcake – brides are getting creative with their dessert and instead are using anything from macaroons to doughnuts to create a beautiful alternative.

Themed food stations

The type of food couples are choosing for their wedding receptions are becoming more creative and personal. Expect to see themed food stations or stalls instead of a classic buffet – think ‘build your own’ pizzas, waffle carts, and custom cocktails.

Unplugged Ceremonies

Unplugged ceremonies are increasing in popularity, with the bride and groom encouraging guests to put away their phones and be in the moment.

Going Green

Whether it’s sending invites on biodegradable paper, using locally sourced ingredients for food and donating the leftovers to a local shelter or ensuring all flower installations are foam free, it’s now an important factor for 2019 couples to consider. As we all become more aware of the harm we’re doing to the planet, the options for hosting an eco-conscious wedding are rising!

Friday Feels || I am posting these little beauties off today, to @hollyshouse for a styled shoot next week. There is no denying her talent and fact of the day…. Holly is a Sincerely May bride 🙂 I love how I stay in touch with couples that have hired me to be apart of their special day. I can not wait to see what Holly does with the pieces that I am sending her. She has a great eye! ⠀ I love a good leaf place name with hand lettered calligraphy to give a stylish touch to your day. I always find guests like to take these leaves home too as a keep sake! ⠀ •⠀ •⠀ •⠀ #weddingstationery #weddinginvitations #papergoods #stationery #wedding #persuepretty #thatsdarling #happypost #weddinginspiration #minimalwedding #ukweddingplanner #scandistyle #modernlettering #minimalism #weddingsigns #leafplacenames #weddingtablesetting #stationerydesign #calligraphy #paperlover #luxurywedding #flatlay #weddingwednesday #dailydoseofpaper #minimalist #ecowedding #justengaged #weddinginspo #weddingdetails #modernwedding⠀

Personal Touches

Instead of the usual wedding favours, couples are beginning to go the extra mile and creating personalized gifts. Think hangover packs, eye masks and drinks mixers.
